Jigsaw Lyrics

You write the good songs, baby
I'll write them until the end
And you can stand above us
And we can still be friends

It's like a jigsaw, maybe
You found the corner piece first
We never asked for nothing
You're always bearing gifts
Oh, you could see us through

Your stage is calculated
You're hugging stars backstage
I like the old songs better
This thing was made for you and me
For you and me

You could see us through

"and we can still be friends"

"you're hugging stars backstage"

I really wish people would CHECK the lyrics they post to SongMeanings.net before just pasting them from another lyrics site with wrong freaking lyrics.

GEEEEEZE.

I can't quite pinpoint the meaning of this song quite yet. I thinking that two people are drifting perhaps one is moving on to bigger things.

This part sticks out to me most: "It's like a jigsaw, maybe You found the corner piece first"

I think they're saying that they need to put things back together and to start they need the corner piece. Or the parts of their relationship where they connect, or have things in common.

Overall, its an amazing song.

I think the message they're giving is they don't care whether the fans like the song or not they just do what they do.
