The song reminds me of Be Still on its about be ing faithful and truley loving one another for who they are. Love to hear it when it comes out.

Kelly Clarkson is the only one worth hearing in Pop Music and dont even loke pop music not saying that this song is. I hope she is writing on her new album. Becouse you can tell that she wrote this such a good laid relaxing song its got that sort of vibe from Mad Season's song "River of Deceit" off there album Above.

Wow, after listening to this demo, this is quite possibly my favorite Kelly song of all time. I hope it ends up on the new album! It is so beautiful and flows nicely…I love singing it. When I examine the lyrics (some of the above lyrics are wrong), in my mind I see a woman who is very much in love with a man (or woman) who is dealing with some major issues (well, they both are). This gave me a entirely new perspective on how it could feel to be in love with someone who is physically hurting you. Normally, I would say domestic abuse would be a reason to end any relationship, but through these lyrics there is a sense of “well, my partner is dealing with hard times and others are giving up on them, but I won’t…I’m going to stick with them until the end.” She is telling her partner to ‘close your eyes’ assuring them that she is not going to leave. So, after listening to this song for the first time, some interpretations come to my mind.

1- It may be about a relationship between two people of the same sex.I say this because we all know in this society, how hard it actually is to be with someone in a gay relationship without people being weird and ignorant about it, or without the fear of being abused just for being gay.This part:

"You might fall and I might cry Covered in bruises I refuse to let this tear apart our lives Others talk, let them talk Love isn't easy but it's worth it You're worth it"

Your family and "friends" may leave you or reject you, also, so the "Even though the others left, I'm here" part makes sense.

In any case, the character Kelly is portraying here says she will love that person no matter what people may think, And that she will wait until that person overcomes their problem. Also this part:

"If you break, I'll break too When you're lonely, I'll hold on to you I see you closing down, but I won't give up now I'm gonna fight for you tonight Close Your Eyes"

It kind of explains by itself. Once a comic artist said that real love between people of the same sex is hard, because you must be sure of your feelings and be brave enough to fight for them. So this could be one interpretation of the song.

2- Other interpretation may be about domestic abuse. She's abused by her partner and believes that she MUST help him to overcome his anger problems. Usually abused women feel that only they can help their abusers. So Kelly may be playing the part of a women that feels she's the only one that can help him, no matter what people may say, no matter if people call her a masochistic for being with a man that hurts her, or if everyone just turned their backs to them.

3-a general interpretation may be just someone saying she's there for the person she loves no matter what.And that she supports him(her, whatever)until that person overcomes their problem (it may be drugs, inner problems, depression, any problem)

It definitely is about sticking it out with someone. Could just be about marriage. As they say, love isn't easy and it is something that people have to work on. I love this song, I wish that she'd release it on an album.
