Does the song title Blooddrunk not give an indication to that?
It's a play on words, alluding to the consumption of blood, possibly as a result of Alexi's self mutilation... He came out in Metal Hammer (#177 I think) and said that the album was very much about over coming his past demons, as well as the bands...
He is an amazing man, we're lucky he's still with us
I love this song. I love it so much. You can feel how he feels when he sings it. Sure Alexi makes jokes and says that the band is "the product of broken bones and lots of alcohol", but bodom are one of the hardest working bands, and look at where they are now.

I'm pretty sure its about self mutilation and numbing his pains with booze. brought on by intense emotional pain. I love this song.
this song is about, and i quote alexi form the Blooddrunk dvd, "its a song about the addiction of spilling your own blood, something thats happened lot recently and in the past". he is saying that the feeling that comes from self mutilation is as addicticting as drinking. watch the making of the blooddrunk video
I think it's pretty obvious this song is bout the attraction of alcohol. Alex and the band are bashing alcohol lovers pretty hard...

And I disagree with TheFinestDay. Alexi has said on multiple occasions that this song is about being addicted to cutting yourself. How can they be bashing alcohol lovers? They're alcohol lovers themselves! Have you SEEN how these guys drink? Lol.

After all, at concerts before performing this song he has said "This next one is about a bottle of whiskey, and really fuckin poor judgement".

this is the first and only song i've heard by children of bodom, i heard it on a sample cd with rocksound magazine. but i'm interested to what the rest of the album is like..........
not sure about the meaning but it did remind me of a line in the movie "300" when artemis goes "blooddrunk" and viciously attacks a group of persians warriors after his son is killed in battle.
reading through the lyrics and a intiview with band in 'metal hammer' this song sounds very much like its Alexi trying 2 let his skeletons out of the closet. he was self harming himself b4 Something wild came out and he overdosed on pills and acohol. so i reckon he is mentioning those incidents
