The Smartest Bomb Lyrics
no they won't miss you when you're gone
when your heart stops beating and pumping blood
oull the pin, light the fuse
this song's the smartest bomb
you make your own choices and decisions,
you are invulnerable to influences
sit down, line up, knock 'em down, shut up
an electrifying organized crime,
with planes and boats and suicide
sit down, line up, knock 'em down, shut up
you're so in control
you're so disposable
30 second spot, real life video game
memory erased, magnet over tape
sit down, line up, knock 'em down, shut up
get psyched up listen to Godsmack
dip you toes in the sands of Iraq
sit down, line up, knock 'em down, shut up
you're so in control
you're so disposable
no they won't miss you when you're gone
when your heart stops beating and pumping blood
oull the pin, light the fuse
this song's the smartest bomb
every day we've been taught to follow
every day lettered to live one way
there is no one left to acknowledge
there is nothing left to say
every day we've been taught to follow
every day lettered to live one way
there is nothing left to mention
there is nothing left to say
kill tonight
will you follow?
no they won't miss you when you're gone
when your heart stops beating and pumping blood
pull the pin, light the fuse
this song's the smartest bomb
when your heart stops beating and pumping blood
oull the pin, light the fuse
this song's the smartest bomb

Another plainly brilliant song by Anti-Flag... The meaning isn't hard to understand, it's the message they always convey; the world is fucked up.
"This song's the smartest bomb" is referring to the uselesness of war, stating that them shouting out their opinion and triggering response is a smarter way of "fighting" than dropping bombs. The rest of the song more or less points out facts like "Every day we've been taught to follow".
Branching off from what Mozared said, I think this song is solely about war; and not the state of the world. I think the chorus can be pretty much translated as follows:
"No they won't miss you when you're gone. When your heart stops beating and pumping blood.": If you die in combat, you're just a number that will get replaced by another number. Which is only partially true that they won't miss you, because the family and all of the soldiers that knew them will miss you. But anyone higher than that like the generals and the president won't care. They can't, really.
"Pull the pin. Light the fuse." That can either be about a soldier, committing himself to combat. Which is the harsh way of going about it. Or, it's about the next line after that...
"This song's the smartest bomb." The (pull the pin light the fuse) line might be about this song being the smartest bomb, going off. And I think they mean it's the smartest bomb because SHABOOM! It goes off and you don't die :D You just get a little bit more compassionate.
The "You're so in control. You're so disposable." Part could either supposed to be told to two different people, or to the same person. Assuming it's to two different people, it probably means something along the lines of:
You're so in control: Referring to the president/secretary of defense/generals who send the troops out. And the (you're so disposable) line would in return reference to the troops being disposable.
OR, if it is being told to the same person, it probably means something along the lines of:
A soldier getting the feeling that he is in control, he's fearless and unbeatable, part of the strongest military, all of that stuff. And then being told how disposable he is because he's just another number that can be thrown around (literally) pretty much anywhere in the world.
Anyways, I'm partially speaking out of ignorance here, but the US can't just stop going to war. As much as I hate that (and believe me I'm not at all trying to look like I'm supporting sending people out to kill and die) without the US going to fight, who would have helped end the dictatorship of Ghadafi? Who would be on the ground actively going after Kony? What would be the reason for North Korea to not attack South Korea? I'm sure there are more examples, but my point is, sometimes fighting and intimidation is necessary in a world where some people are still terrorists, some people are still motivated by manifest destiny, some people are still dictators.
