Do I have nothing good left to say?
Do I need whiskey to start fueling my complaints?
People love to drink their troubles away
Sometimes I feel that I'd be better off that way

'Cause maybe then I could sleep at night
I wouldn't lie awake until the morning light
This is something that I'll never control
My nerves will be the death of me, I know
I know
I know

So here's to living life miserable
And here's to all the lonely stories that I've told
Maybe drinking wine will validate my sorrow
Every man needs a muse and mine could be the bottle

'Cause maybe then I could sleep at night
I wouldn't lie awake until the morning light
This is something that I'll never control
My nerves will be the death of me, I know

Finally, I could hope for a better day
No longer holding on to all the things that cloud my mind
Maybe then the weight of the world wouldn't seem so heavy
But then again I'll probably always feel this way

At least I know I'll never sleep at night. (Sleep at night)
I'll always lie awake until the morning light. (Til the morning light)
This is something that I'll never control
My nerves will be the death of me
My nerves will be the death of me

My nerves will be the death of me, I know

This song is so personal and honest and just amazing. Clearly Dallas has a sleeping proble, he makes that evident in his other songs too.

"This is something I'll never contol. My nerves will be the death of me" IMO means his sleeping disorder which keeps him up all night is something he can't control. He thinks and worries to much at night since he can't sleep...he's depressed even? And thus, his nerves are bad...his emotions are making him mad...lack of sleep does that to you. So he questions whether to start drinking more, just so he can eventually pass out and get some sleep.

Dallas has been having trouble with insomnia. And this song is showing his frustration with the whole thing.

One wrong line in there...in the second verse it's... "And here's to all the LONELY stories that I've told."

This is something that I'll never control.this like sleeping sickness exemplifies Dallas's true struggle with depression and anxiety but maybe it is that pure emotion that can create such wonderful stuff... creativity is painful

This song is easy. It's simply about how Dallas laying awake at night self analysing himself and worrying about the things he can't control.

He's stating that a lot of people use alcohol to quite their worries and fears. Alcohol also puts people to sleep.

It's a well known fact that Dallas dosen't drink. This song is about Dallas questioning whether or not it would be easier to be an alcohol and let the bottle releive his fears and worries. I think it's just a thought that passes his mind nothing that he's actually serious about.

Love this song. So straight forward. He's lying awake at night, contemplating taking up drinking as a solution to his insomnia, helplessly. I think he knows that even drinking wouldn't solve anything, but he keeps it in mind to give himself hope that maybe it doesn't have to be like that forever....

Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
