"Time keeps on skipping...
It's your boy Skillz with the facts of the show
Back to recap 2004
Now, things started out cool and plain
Until Janet whipped her boob out at the Superbowl game
I know the girl moving cycles
But I never thought a nipple could make the whole world forget about Michael
And rap needed something fresh
In comes 'Mr. Jesus Walks', Kanye West
We got him and Mel to thank
Jesus walks
Yeah, after 'The Passion', Jesus walks to the bank
And every week a different hurricane hit
If you ain't have a Blackbird you had a sidekick
The gay governor came out and quit
And everybody and their mother had a 'Black Album' remix.
And even white people started saying 'I'm Rick James, bitch!'
American Idol was dumb
Was I the only one who got sick of seeing William Hung?!
Fantasia won, don't get it confused
But with a mouth that huge, how could she lose!?
Usher did best again
If Jilly wanted a comeback, she should've made a record then
The Paris Hilton sextape got watched
And once that got cold, all she ever said was 'That's hot!'
Rap made a lot of cream
LL came back looking like he was sixteen
Mase came back too, anybody peep it?
What's funny is he probably made more money preachin'
Shyne was supposed to be the truth
Yo, 'Po', once your next album comes out you should come out too
Kobe had a little luck, but here's a fashion tip for the guys
No more button-ups
White Tees I'll spare, ain't they like 54 dollars?
They ain't goin' nowhere
Who had a 'Live Strong' bracelet?
I did!
Sad part is you probably don't know where your's is.
U.S. b-ball team got sliced, Roy Jones got his ass kicked twice
Rappers couldn't behave
Tony Yayo came out
Rappers couldn't behave
Tony Yayo came out and went back in a couple of days
Wanna throw up what you ate?
Picture Bridget Nielson in a hot tub with Flavor Flav
Lil Flip came at TI
And then Shaq came at me but I ain't sure why
But I crushed the dude
The day he beats me that'll be the day he won't mumble in his interviews
Lets get serious for a second
Who thought "Farenheit 9/11" would change the election?
For a minute though, voting was fly
And everybody had a shirt that said "Vote or Die"
Seen on everybody from 50 Cent to Jigga
Newsflash to Puff, shirts didn't work *****
The election was scary
Don't front, don't you feel bad for John Kerry?
For a second he was a star
Now he's probably in a bar wishing Oprah had given him a car
Dave Chappelle made a lot of cake
Mary Kate Olsen proved money can't buy you weight
Beyonce was on fire
Hottest show on TV? Hands down that would have to be 'The Wire'
Can't believe Stringer got killed
I been to B-More trust me, 'The Wire' is real
If you lip syncing do it well
Ashley Simpson made a fool of herself on SNL
Advice to the kids, don't chance it
Something goes wrong in your life, screw it start dancing!
And designers were snoring
Couldn't do nothing with white tees so we started putting pictures on them
Red and Meth Show was put to rest
Dummy Move of the Year though? Ron Artest
We all watching like, 'Damn you believe this man,'
'Just put his hands up and swung on a fan?'
The nutshell, I'mma make it clear
Ron Artest spent 5 mill on half a cup of beer
Jealousy could be a sickness
Don't believe me? ask Jay-Z, he could be a witness
Started out as The Best of Both Worlds
Ended with pepper spray and Kelly about to earl
Ayo Kells, that was whack fam
In some ways you remind me of an old black man
You know how they blame stuff on the white man?
He took it up a notch and blamed it on the white lightning man
Martha Stewart hit the pen
Britney got married, got divorced and got married again
And some rappers couldn't lose
They sold everything from booze to clothes to shoes
And some of ya'll don't think
I'm from the hood dogg, we don't buy energy drinks
So take that, rewind it back
Usher had the biggest hit with Lil Jon on the track
If not that, it was Joey Crack
Because even slow old people was trying to Lean Back
Matthew Knowles I know it hurt your heart
When Michelle fell on 106 and Park
Sad case, no doubt
How you fall on TV the day that ya album come out?
And here's a winner for sure
They say Young Buck tried to stab a boy at the Vibe Awards
Dre, he kept it gully Doc
Buck earned his spot, he should be all over The Detox
And ya'll prolly askin yaself
Who is this dude that's talkin' 'bout everybody else?
And that question is the worst one
I'm Skillz homeboy, I'm the dude that made the first one
And Imma keep doing me
R.I.P. to Rick James, Ray Charles and the ODB
I said I wouldn't do a wrap Up but I lied

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
