I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
Just wait for me

And I am on my own
But it's nice to see you came alone
And this might sound wrong
But I can only tell you through a song
And I will take my time
'Cause it's the only thing that's on my side
And this can't be real
Tell me do you ever feel

Do you ever feel [4x]

Oh I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
I'll never let go, never let go
She said I'll never grow up
Oh yeah I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
I'll never let go, never let go
She said I'll never grow up

Two years now since I met you
And I just can't forget about you
You don't know what you do to me
Oh you don't know what you're doing to me
And baby I'm not lost
I'm just a little confused on what to do
And it's all on me
Oh it's not you, why can't you see?

Do you ever feel [4x]

Oh I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
I'll never let go, never let go
She said I'll never grow up
Oh yeah I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
I'll never let go, never let go
She said I'll never grow up

Oh who are you now?
(Oh who are you now?)
[2x]

This shit is so played out
It's so played out
So played out

Yeah I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
Oh please wait for me

I've been changing
You're still waiting on me
I'll never let go, never let go
She said I'll never grow up

this song somehow realtes to me. my ex-boyfriend and i are bestfriends now, but i still love him. he knows i do, but he doesnt know i love him THAT way.

i met him what seems about two years ago almost, and i have changed quite a bit since then. the line "and i am on my own but is nice to see you came along" basically explains how i am single and okay with that and even though he has a new gf now, he is sticking around and is alwyas helping me and keeping me company.

in the line "Two years now since I met you And I just can't forget about you You don't know what you do to me Oh you don't know what you're doing to me And baby I'm not lost I'm just a little confused on what to do" is like when i cant forget about him (of course, bestfriends) and i honsestly dont think that he truly understands how he makes me feel. and i am not completely los, im just a little confued with what i want.

this song basically exlpains my situation.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
