Guilt by Association Lyrics

hey, you cash on the barrel-head and get on the floor
and all the rest of you away from the door
and everything that you ever thought would come true
i've got news for you..

all the cash on the barrel-head
you never thought you'd be doing this ever
i don't know why you think you can talk to me
in such an uncivil tone

i should peel back the skin from an orange
' remember how you got all o' this
well all of this.. is stiff of coming true

there's nothing you can do to change it
you dont have to do the crime to do the time
its just guilt by association

i've been thinking to myself
There's something we should be upfront about
Are you starting to figure out
that you're never going home?
Never going home?

all alone, but from what i see fit
there's nothing you can do to change it
you dont have to do the crime to do the time
its just guilt by association

i'll stop you right here
i've got something to say
everything they deserve today
is going to come true..
how 'bout you?

no, you never thought you'd be in this place right here
where we're at
well there's something you must confront right now, now

dont you wish you could
take it
dont you wish you could change the way i feel
dont you wish you could look into my eyes
and make me feel
you're going to make me feel

its just guilt by association

I love this song, although I'm pretty sure the lyrics are off. It should be:

Remember how you got all this? Well all this.. It's never ever coming true

Also: There's something we should be upfront about Are you starting to figure out that you're never going home? Never going home?

And (I think): Well there's something we must confront now now

I definitely agree with bnjskate. It's about politics and how everyone's out to get what they want, and don't care about other people or what happens to them. Awesome song.

Someone mind telling us what the backwards audio at the beginning says? It scared the hell out of me when I first listened to it because the speakers were turned way up.

I see how it could apply to politics, but my first idea was an armed robbery. The robber is talking to the people in the store, they never thought they'd be in that position; they're realizing they might not be going home.

Totally what I thought, the beginning is a bank robbery.
