El frío anuló
Esa remota forma de expresión
Habrá que esperar
El nuevo día pronto llegará
De noche, junto al fuego
Piensa, no puede dormir
Debe cazar o morir

Su gente sufrió la maldición
Sus dioses ya no les protegen
El brujo pidió el corazón
Del enemigo más terrible, sí
Amaneció, tres hombres van
Destino y fin

Ruge, mata, grita, muere
Ruge, mata, grita, muere

Después de seguir todas las huellas
Siente el temor
La cueva surgió entre la nieve
Y se estremeció
El oso está esperando
Callan, no pueden hablar
Saben, se acerca el final

Su instinto animal hizo brotar
Toda la rabia de su pecho
El gran cazador se revolvió
Su lanza encuentra el sitio exacto, sí
Aún latió cuando
En su honor se le ofreció

Ruge, mata, grita, muere
Ruge, mata, grita, muere

Su instinto animal hizo brotar
Toda la rabia de su pecho
El gran cazador se revolvió
Su lanza encuentra el sitio exacto

Instinto animal hizo brotar
Toda la rabia de su pecho
El gran cazador se revolvió
Su lanza encuentra el sitio exacto, sí
Aún latió cuando
En su honor se le ofreció

Ruge, mata, grita, muere
Ruge, mata, grita, muere

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
