All I can hear is: your eyes on my phone / old news / oh lie. But still it's one of my favorites and it's really intense and emotional... though the lyrics seems like just nonsense to me. In this case I don't focus on the lyrical meaning - witch I often do, I just close my eyes and kinda f.e.e.l the melodies. It's a real beauty, this one. Mindblowing.

the old live version was so much better.

Love it. I have no idea what it means, but it actually brought tears to my eyes.

just read on the sigur-ros forum that the lyrics is: 'you rise on my fall'. The forum says that there is an indie music store there in Hljómalind, which the song is named after. the song was written around the time Jónsi spent most of his time there.

Why the fuck would someone submit lyrics as "N/A"?! If you don't know the lyrics, then don't submit anything, fuckface.

truthdecay, it was submitted so people could talk around it or suggest the actual lyrics. Jeeze.

Beyond that, Hvarf/Heim is one of my favorite albums. Sounds like it wants to swallow you.

Truthdecay, if you knew this band you would realize that many of their songs are in a made-up nonsense language called Hopelandic. For all I know there could actually be lyrics, because I do not speak Icelandic. This one is very powerful and doesn't follow the strain of most of their other "building" songs in that it has a somewhat repeating chorus and typical structure... but that's what I think makes it one of my favorites because it shows they can make a great 'normal' rock song. And man does it rock...

correct CApe151, this song is in hopelandic. hence the "N/A".

now if anyone wants something to look at. I guess you could follow these then:

ýu ræ sul non fól ýu ræ sul non fól

ýu ræ so uld nó (hmm hmm)

ýu ræ son mæ fon ýu ræ son mæ fon ýu ræ son mæ fon

old sjí rus old sjí rus ó læ

old sjí rus old sjí rus ó læ

ýu ræ son mæ fon ýu ræ son mæ fon ýu ræ son mæ fon

old sjí rus old sjí rus ó læ

old sjí rus old sjí rus ó læ

ýu sæ gvæ

old sjí rus old sjí rus ó læ

old sjí rus old sjí rus ó læ

this is, of course all gibberish. I used the icelandic alphabet as a phonetical source to create this transcript. however, these are just approximate to the sounds he makes considering how garbled they are. hope this helps those lyric obsolete like myself.

ern.. that would be "lyric obsessed." hehe typo.

I thought the verses sounded a lot like "you rise on my fall" as well. I know it's all in Hopelandic but so often Jonsi's Hopelandic songs seem to make sense in English e.g Andvari's "I love you". Anyway, I've sat and tried to work out what the chorus could be in English but have got nothing. Either way I'm happy to just sit and listen to this brilliant song. Easily the best on Hvarf if you ask me.
