In the Daily Mail it says, Stardust's director Matthew Vaughan asked Take That if they would be interested in writing a song for the film. Gary Barlow recalls: "We live near each other in London so I said: 'Come along to our place at 6 and I'll give you our answer.' Matthew came at 6 and in that time we'd composed and written a song. It's probably a coincidence, but in the 'If angels cry, oh I’ll be there for you' line, the way he says 'if an-' sounds like Yvaine. Which is the name of the star in the film/book. I can't help hearing 'Yvaine jels cry' every time I listen -- a little annoying actually. But I still love this song, it's very pretty.
@Weaponstar I thought it was until I read the lyrics to be honest. Though I actually thought it said "Yvaine, Just cry, Oh I'll be there for you" - which makes sense in the context of the film and such. But yeah, I adore this song.

Beautiful Song. "All the stars are coming out tonight, they're lighting up the sky tonight, for you". I mean, what a wonderful thing to say to somebody. Makes me happy does this tune. :)

This is a really nice song. Heard it from the Stardust advert and thought it was great. I really like the tune and the line 'you and me we can light up the sky' it very romantic. Although the movie could have been better.
