Rise Of The Tyrant Lyrics
"I have existed from the
morning of the world and
I shall exist until the last star
falls from the night. Although
I have taken the form of
Gaius Caligula, I am all man
As I am no man and therefore
I am..a god. I shall wait for
the unanimous decision of
The senate,, Claudius.
All those who say 'aye', say 'aye'..
'Aye', 'aye', 'aye' (etc)...
He's a god now"
The end is near
Panic is closing in
Sick with fear they run
Watch freedom's fall
What have we become?
Cannon fodder
Reign of terror
Enslave the nations
Devastation
This is war
Pull the trigger
One nation
Under their control
Rise, the tyrants rise
The enemy inside
The tyrants rise
The end is here
Feel it closing in
Blood runs red
Watch in horror
Our lives destroyed
We failed
The final holocaust
Enslave the nations
Annihilation
This is war
Pull the trigger
One nation out of control
Rise, the tyrants rise
The enemy inside
The tyrants rise
War, pain, suffering
The price we pay
To stay alive
Blood, fire, death
His glory come
His kingdom arise
This world will burn
(Burn, burn, burn)
Rise, the tyrants rise
The enemy inside
The tyrants rise
morning of the world and
I shall exist until the last star
falls from the night. Although
I have taken the form of

The intro's probably from Caligula, by shakespeare. Not sure, but it's a fair bet... Word is that play is a total blood bath.
The Intro seems to be from a movie called Caligula (About Gauis Caligula) starring Malcolm McDowell (Cat people, A Clockwork Orange)...
Haven't seen it, supposed to be crap.
I hope Arch Enemy are not jumping on the bandwagon of Bush-bashing with this song.
I don't think it's Bush-bashing, I think it's a fantasy world thats controlled by a hated tyrant, and if we aren't careful, this world could become one.
Hey...im new to this site...my first comment actually...so yeah
The intro of this song is from the movie Caligula...this is from the scene when Caligula proclaims himself to be a god...the senators agree and he's pronounced a god. Caligula started of as a good caring leader but soon took the shape of a tyrant...forcing the wives and daughters of his senators into prostitution...turning his court into a brother...killing unnessecarily...cetra...so he rose as a tyrant...
turning his court into a brothel* :P
Haha. There seems to be more interest in the film excerpt rather than the actual song. But anyway, support this band. They're awesome live.
Bush was a tyrant. Undisputibly the worst dictator this country has ever had the misfortune to encounter. He single-handedly destroyed the constitution and the economy simultaneously. Bush and his cronies domestic and international are the tyrants, they have killed the republic and replaced it with empire and as with all empires the time of it's fall has come. Defend your precious self appointed god-king as much as you like, him and people like you have brought the end to the United States.
The end is near. We gladly became the cannon fodder for the tyrants reign of terror. We have enslaved ourselves to them. We have allowed them to destroy our lives. We have failed as a country and a people. One nation out of control, we will pay the price for our hubris.
