Dead Eyes See No Future Lyrics
To the doomsday machine
Fighting for ravaged land
A worthless gain
Marching on a dead end road
Feeding off mistrust
Forgot what we were fighting for
A worthless aim
A victory stinking of despair
See no future
Falling from grace
We are coming home
Seeking shelter in hell
Bloodstained memories
Will we ever be forgiven
Our twisted fate
Time will tell

are you fucking retarded? first of all the album was released in 2003, second, the band is from Sweden! what the fuck is with trying to relate everything to USA? ----- "ignorance is NOT bliss"

This is one of the best songs I've ever heard, and one of my favorites from Arch Enemy. I love the part in the bridge where Michael has those little melody lines and Chrisopher does those awesome, awesome melodic (and harmonized) riffs that just lift me to high heaven above...oooh, good song. Anyone know where I can find GUITAR tabs to it?

This song is so great. I just bought there Dead eyes see no future the other day!:) It's great!

Dead eyes see no future EP* sorry..

Dead eyes see no future EP* sorry..

I think this song is about war and how the soldiers do not know what they are fighting for. Therefore, they are coming back home to the U.S.
Arch Enemy kick ass!!! Mike and Chris Amott are fucking badass guitarists!!! \m/

Not necessarily about the US, but about all wars.
"Dead eyes See no future" those who are dead doesn't have a future. Makes sense, right?

This one does seem to be about the war in Iraq.
"Giving our blood To the doomsday machine"
That would be a reference to George Bush's war, and his apparent desire to destroy the world.
"Fighting for ravaged land"
Iraq is about as ravaged as you can get.
"Forgot what we were fighting for A worthless aim"
It's true; ther war has gone on for so long that few can instantly recall the meaning behind it.
The lyrics are basiucally anti-war. Quite simple, really. The entire album, from front to back, has an extremely post-apocalyptic feel to it, whihc is the aftermath of the end of the world, brough about by wars and meaningless aggression.

Yea that does make sence how it is about the war in Iraq Good song great band =)
