Ravenous

The song is against agressive, brutally missionaristic christian sects. That is why the reference to Jesus. Not Jesus is carnivorous, but these sects act like a ravenous, carnivorous Jesus in their effort to grip every human soul, kill the 'flesh' that is the 'sinful' human nature in christian symbolism, while 'you have to die for yourself', and be exploited by them, to gain 'eternal spiritual life'.

fucking cheesey lyrics, I mean really fucking awful. just watch Angela deliver them in the video and try not to cringe..... but still, the musical backing is insane,these guys are an insanley talented bunch of musicians.But then again, Michael used to play with Carcass, so that shows how good he is. Chris plays a super fast solo in this song, but I really would have liked a bass solo from Sharlee. Or maybe a bit of bass, as his sound gets buried in the mix under the hailstorm of bass drums and guitars. Still, one of the best songs ever written.shame about the lyrics/fact that this is still their best song. i love it though.If you can put this one together, it is a fucking great song to play live, especially because i like adding a bass solo into it.

one time a kid was reading what was on my mp3 player and he pronounced the song "RAVE-enous". Rave as in boom pish boon pish boom pish errrrtt a TAKA TAKA TAKA TAKA. I felt like slapping him one upside the head. So anyway yeah... can't get much more satanic than this song.
