You could've bowed down gracefully
But you didn't
You knew enough to know
To leave well enough alone

But you wouldn't
I drive myself crazy
Tryin' to stay out of my own way
The messes that I make

But my secrets are so safe
The only one who gets me
Yeah, you get me
It's amazing to me

How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life

I come around all broken down and
Crowded out
And you're comfort
Sometimes the place I go
Is so deep and dark and desperate
I don't know, I don't know

How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life

Sometimes I swear, I don't know if
I'm comin' or goin'
But you always say something
Without even knowin'

That I'm hangin' on to your words
With all of my might and it's alright
Yeah, I'm alright for one more night-
Every day

Every day, every day, every day
Every day, every day
You save me, you save me, oh, oh, oh
Every day
Every, every, every day-

Every day you save my life

When I heard this song I interrupted it as one of two things: God or Loved Ones that always are there and take your back even in your darkest place. I actually was listening to it on pandora on my phone walking home from work and started crying because I had only a week ago hurt someone I loved so deeply and they still saw through that darkness and comforted me. But I see it also as speaking to God. I don't interrpret it all as talking about a stranger.

I love this song. Its so cute that sometimes someone saves your life with out even knowing it. I can think of a few people who have done that for me.

I agree with jdrlove: this song is about how people can save your life in certain ways and not even realize it. They make life worth it.

I really love this song.. Can't describe why. It exemplifies the comfort that the song about through the singing, lyrics, music. Almost celebratory in the fact that the main character is so grateful for the mercy of this person's actions.. Even though they are probably unaware of what they are doing.

I just heard this song on the radio yesterday while driving home from school. I have had the CD since it came out, but must have kept missing over it. Anyways, I agree with the first two posts, it is about those people that come along and have a huge impact without even knowing. I honestly can say that this is one of those songs that I would love to have as a wedding song for myself.

Ever since I've heard him perform this song on Jay Leno, I was hooked. Rascal Flatts has an amazing voice and this song is just so soothing.

As for the meaning, the last four posts explained it all. Someone is apparently "lost" in some sort of way and a person, without even knowing, has let them see that it's not the end of the world and has "saved" them.

And as for mvp828, I'm going to second that wedding song.

Dang, meant to say wedding comment, not wedding song.

I think this applies to God too. Because He saves our lifes and we don't realize it...

I, also believe it is about saving ourselves but also about how we reach out with good intentions. Some may see or shortcomings but I believe the song refers to getting back to ourselves.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
