Perfectly Flawed

This could be about a body image disorder, such as BDD, "my way, my face... im such a disgrace/mistake" and "injecting my reflection cos i hate the way it judges me"

Also, BDD is an OCD related disorder, and striving for perfection that the song alludes to is common characteristic of BDD/OCD. It's impossible to reach the perfection they strive for, hence it is sabotage, "same day, same night... its the same sabotage", as well as, "perfection is killing me".

Your perception of yourself is the enemy, "'cos I'm the enemy."

I think this song also touches on perhaps using drugs or attempting suicide as a way to cope, "injecting my reflection"

This is probably one of the best otep songs in my personal opinion mostly because she doesnt just scream...i LOVE her scream but this has a really deep meaning and her voice just really connects to it. I'm am very lucky cause i am an mexican/american but i DONT get made fun of that. i have a 'good' body figure. so im not so "ugly" but we all are beautiful. i belive that this song gets that through. You can almost understand each word so you dont have to look up the lyrics..just the best song in the world...i DO get fun of cause i decide to be the unique one of the school. I do go astray of what other people think is "cool" i do follow my own drum and i am proud of it...so this song is great and very infectious :) love you all jasmine

I've been hearing rumors floating around that this might be used for the TV show Dexter...

Here's my take on it:

It starts off with her trying to talk someone out of commiting suicide.

The first verse and the tunnel is the persons response. Saying that the're continuouslt suffering and don't see things getting any better. And that they have very low self esteem.

The chorus is her reponse saying that the fact that they're flawed is what makes them perfect. But the person remains unconvinced: "a disguise of self deception hides my secrets perfectly

i'm rejecting my reflection cause i hate the way it judges me"

So she pleads with them: "don't even do it YOU'RE NOT EVEN YOU YET."

Well anyways it's a pretty amazing song. I love it.
