Lose It

This is one of the coolest songs on lead sails paper anchor. its very emotional. i relly think that this song is about suicide ("leaping" from a building or something) and decididing weather to jump or not. The part about "my wings need to grow" can mean 2 things: while he is falling, he quickly decides he doesnt want to die and wants to be able to fly safety. the other meaning behind "growing wings" is that he wants to be able to build up strength, or wings. thats what i think, so dont get mad at me if you dissagree. peace.

to me this song is about a boy (or girl, but I think it fits a boy better) who is faced with a real tough decision and he doesn't know which side to take. "I lose my hold" could be that he just doesn't feel in control anymore. I really like the line "grabbing what I need and grip it til it bleeds" because the decision he needs to make or situation he has been brought into will tear his heart no matter what, forcing him to lose someone he loves either way. "this is it, i'm shaking, my body's aching" could be where he's just exhausted from everything, that the situation is killing him slowly; "this is it i'm falling, my wings need to grow" could mean that he is either looking for a miracle to cure everything or that he needs to become stronger to make the decision.

I don't know; it's just my take on it. I love this song and I think it's one of their best. I love the tension in it too, and how it begins with a somewhat-sad instrumental piece.

I think this is the best song on the new album. There seems to be a lot of emotion put into this song. Makes me want to scream along :)

Amazing song, it's about letting go, as you can see. You can only take so much, until you lose all hope and let go.

i'm not religious but i get the feeling that this song is about someone losing faith in god (or whatever entity you chose to worship). these verses jumps out at me in particular.

maybe he's starting to doubt or question his religion and he's "dying to know" the truth, tieing into the whole thing about taking the leap. maybe he wants to see if there really is life after death. idk just my 0.02

this is 4real the best song on da new alblum and just so u know its "Im Shaking" but anyway i think the song is about someone ending a realationship with some1 "I Will Let Go" and there "dying to know" wheter this person will hate them or not and they dont want that

Perhaps it has something to do with the band's decision to try a new approach to this record... I think for them it was a big decision

Also, does the beggining of this song sound like the biggining of 'understanding in a car crash' by Thursday?
