The part about "my wings need to grow" can mean 2 things: while he is falling, he quickly decides he doesnt want to die and wants to be able to fly safety. the other meaning behind "growing wings" is that he wants to be able to build up strength, or wings. thats what i think, so dont get mad at me if you dissagree. peace.
