Frou-Frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires Lyrics
I buckle and rosed
As god and the rest(wrist)
How mere riches be
A war or we lose
Close into symbols
A fly drinks the ignitions(indications)
They turn infant's breath my
Milk and wrap to her baby
In day
And night to come
And night to come
Their little hands
Smooth all things
Ad nauseum
Singed by it, pulled around of my blazening
(Pulled round)
Eyes on the use for the science of cherry-colored
(Trousers)
Limelight, not the music, it's plain as is can be so
(Tighter)
All of the time I improvise by making sure
(Tighter)
It's to wait for you
Rounder
Pulled rounder
Pulled rounder
Pulled rounder
Ohh
Tighter

The fanatical:
'cruel serpents, we lament'
Our mercy in flame
Your love and your passion
Lead weight first falls over
The young, there, was anchored
I'm using the stairs [that]
I have nested to find you
I buckle and rosed
As god and the rest(wrist)
How mere riches be
A war all we lose
Close into symbols
A fly drinks the ignitions
They turn infant's breath my
Milk and wrap to her baby
In day
And night to come
Their little hands
Smooth all things
Ad nauseum
Things old
And young
Very young
Rise here comes our reason
New skies are a young escape to find you
Singed by it, pulled around of my blazening
(Pulled round)
Eyes on the use for the science of cherry-coloured

Limelight not the music, it's plain as as can be so

Ok, both the band themselves and critics say that their lyrics are not designed to mean something specific, at least not consciously.
However, after reading about how Heaven Or Las Vegas seemed to have lyrics dealing with Elisabeth Fraser's feelings on her (back then) newly achieved motherhood, now the lyrics to this song, although still coming from a relatively "unconscious place", seem to be about her waiting for her daughter's birth and being excited about motherhood and the angelical qualities of babies, the devotion and freedom from becoming a mother somehow and also breastfeeding and etc.
Well, these are just my guessings. Could be, could not be.
I have recently discovered their music and this one is my favourite. It's so magical, so unexplainable, the chorus is just so freedom-oriented and intellectual at the same time, so "summer".
Agreed totally. The thoughts of the subconscious mind make their way into the lyrics even if the lyrics haven't been written to mean anything specific.

Totally agree. This song is beautiful and is such a perfect summer song. And I'm wondering if maybe the chorus isn't a little jab at the rest of the band. Maybe Liz was already turning into the frustrated Four Calendar Cafe version where she's just kind of burned out with everything.
That is sweet... thats how you know theyre not writing half-assed songs. Devotion is a beautiful thing. And at the same time I believe that cliches in pop music aren;t bad for anything new, or old -- I kinda admire bands who are inspired enough to improvise great music

The lyrics remain confusing. However the chords remain so haunting and beautiful that this song has been playing in the background of my mind for years.
how long does does the verification/audit take?
"a firedrake's ignitions"
i saw them on psilocybe and listened to this album over and over on lsd. a favourite.
@mikal10848 I used to do the same thing in high school school. My friends and I would take LSD or mushrooms and listen to music, and you can hear all the words perfectly clear in some of the most hard to hear vocal songs
