Ok, both the band themselves and critics say that their lyrics are not designed to mean something specific, at least not consciously.
However, after reading about how Heaven Or Las Vegas seemed to have lyrics dealing with Elisabeth Fraser's feelings on her (back then) newly achieved motherhood, now the lyrics to this song, although still coming from a relatively "unconscious place", seem to be about her waiting for her daughter's birth and being excited about motherhood and the angelical qualities of babies, the devotion and freedom from becoming a mother somehow and also breastfeeding and etc.
Well, these are just my guessings. Could be, could not be.
I have recently discovered their music and this one is my favourite. It's so magical, so unexplainable, the chorus is just so freedom-oriented and intellectual at the same time, so "summer".
Agreed totally. The thoughts of the subconscious mind make their way into the lyrics even if the lyrics haven't been written to mean anything specific.
