Feelin' you comin' around
You're breaking me down (breaking me down)
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out

I keep talking cause I just need you to know
My motives were always to let you go
Your heart is pumping
The beat fills the walls
This conversation is just to watch you fall
I still turn you on
This is your last chance to get some

Feelin' you comin' around
You're breaking me down (breaking me down)
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out

You hold your ground
Come on, give up this fight
The sun's down
So you let me stay the night
The room's quiet
The whispers in your ear
Will cause your body to somehow get so near (to some how get so near, to some how get so near)

I won't talk
I'm in it just for this
These moments are something I will make
You shed a tear
There's a feeling down below
That makes pain somehow die so slow
I'm getting you off

Feelin' you comin' around
You're breaking me down (breaking me down)
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out

Feelin' you comin' around
You're breaking me down (breaking me down)
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out
Move on, move on, move on
Come on, get out

i see this song as something about a girl who recently broke up with a guy, but he still turns her on. this is like the break up sex song.

There is a myspace with this song on it for those who are looking for it. it's available to download. It's for metro station fans. the meaning is self-explanitory. It sounds like it's casual sex for him but she is a bit more hesitant because she knows he will leave after ge gets it.

I miss all their old stuff =[

it pisses me off so much when their 9 year old fans that only know the song shake it get to go to like all their concerts, and i know every single one of their songs and i'm nowhere close to even having a slight chance of going to one.

welllll lemme frist say that i am IN LOVE w. metro station. yes, shake it was the first song i heard, buh that is NOT the reason i love em so much, cuz i kno all their songss. haha nd love em all.

nd yeaa geting onto the meaninggg.. well this song is clearly abt sex, as most of m.s.'s songs are. nd yea its abt a realtionship in which the guy is only into it fer the sex, buh the girl actuallee wants their relationship to mean sumtin. buh, hmm, the relationship is more like a friends w. benefits thing..

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
