Million Dollar Man Lyrics
He's driving down a road to nowhere
The moon reflects off his spotless car
Speeding away from all he's known
To greener grass on the other side
[Chorus]
He's a million dollar man
He's got everything he wants
And now what he wants is what he had
But he threw it all away
For a life filled with cars and rings and everything that money can bring
Now everything is not what he thought
As guilt reaches in for all that is wrong
The profit is worthless when you're alone
The grass isn't greener on this lonely side
[Chorus]
He threw it all away
The moon reflects off his spotless car
Speeding away from all he's known
To greener grass on the other side
He's a million dollar man
He's got everything he wants
And now what he wants is what he had
But he threw it all away
For a life filled with cars and rings and everything that money can bring
As guilt reaches in for all that is wrong
The profit is worthless when you're alone
The grass isn't greener on this lonely side

This song is about how material possessions are squat and don't add up to much. Just because you have all these fancy things, like an expensive car, if you don't have Jesus, then you have nothing. He threw his life away to get ahead...but ahead to where? I think it's also talking about how he might've thrown his family away to get ahead as well. But now he realizes... "the grass isn't greener on this lonely side"
