Why do you run why do you hide oh don't you know I
Just, just want to be with you, to be with you

Looking down from above as you watch TV
Wondering why, oh you're ignoring me
Do you remember, remember when I came to you
And you loved me
And I'm waiting for you
And I'm waiting for you

Why do you run, why do you hide oh, don't you know I
Just, just want to be with you, to be with you
Hey, why do you run, why do you hide oh, don't you know
I just, just want to be with you, to be with you...

Whatever happened to the love, the love you had for me
When you first came to me
Don't you know that I died, died so I could be with you
Forever
And I'm waiting for you
And I'm waiting for you

Why do you run, why do you hide oh, don't you know I
Just, just want to be with you, to be with you
Hey, why do you run, why do you hide oh, don't you know
I just, just want to be with you, to be with you...

Find a place of solitude, and I'll speak to you
As you pray to me
Don't you know I'm waiting here, waiting for you to
Read and hear my words
I'm waiting here missing the time the times we shared
Oh, please come to me

Why do you run why do you hide oh don't you know I
Just, just want to be with you, to be with you
Hey, why do you run why do you hide oh don't you know
I just, just want to be with you, to be with you

o my goodness!! I cannot believe anyone hasn't commented on this song yet!!! What's wrong with you people???!?? I just heard this song yesterday for the first time and I sit here in complete awe. This is such a talented band and I cannot believe that no one has really heard of them...(yet). I feel this song cause not only is the music amazingly beautiful, not only because I love the violin, but seriously now. Listen to the song and then read the lyrics...I am completely blown away. "Find a place of solitude, and I'll speak to you As you pray to me. Don't you know I'm waiting here, waiting for you to read and hear my words I'm waiting here missing the time the times we shared oh, please come to me" this bridge is awesome. ahhh, I can't say enough about it. God waits for us and He justs wants to be with us but we are always so busy-too busy to stop and find quiet time or go on a holy walk and just be in His presence. Oh my gosh people. I'm sorry for freakin out but this song really touched my heart because I am soo guilty of forgetting to pray sometimes and this and that. We need to spend time with Our Lord. It's so important guys. Serenity Always, me PS. 1 Peter 3:4

This song seriously broke my heart the first time I heard it. (And many times after.)

    Although I don't know why I run.

When I first heard it... I imagined God up above...and a man. The man was kiding from God...may have had something going on in his life, but none the less, hiding from God. All God wanted to do is Love and help...

I love this song! I saw them in concert when they were opening for Audio Adrenaline, before that concert i had never heard of them, but they were so amazing! And they still are! I heard that song for the first time at that concert and i was so awestruck! I was like "Why DO i run?" And the line that says "wondering why you're ignoring me" gets me every time. I'm totally guilty of that. When i watch TV or play video games, i'm not thinking of him, i'm kind of like "Go away, i'm trying to watch something" i don't know why i do this because he's so compassionate, and loving and is just amazing to me, who would ever want to ignore that?

The lyrics to this song just blew me away. Kutless is just amazing for being able to stand up there and sing about God and their beliefs. Not everyone can do that. Besides they have amazing vocal and instrumentals and it SOUNDS good, unlike alot of worship music out there, that have amazing and deep lyrics but no sound to go with it.

Yeah, I love this song to! This was the first song I heard by Kutless and the lyrics are awsome, they have a clear message about how God wants to be with us, and yet so many times we run away and hide from him.

I honestly love this song to death, one of my personal favorites. I honestly don't know why anyone would want to run from the peace and joy that God can bring you through a devoted life to him? I don't know why I run?

Man this song brings back memories, the first time I heard it was when I was just about to lose my faith. I'm normally the strong guy who doesn't let out his emotions at all and by the end of this song I was almost crying.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
