Blessed Are The Dead Lyrics

The great silent mirror,
Under the stars and the moon
Sounds of galloping horses
On clouds of lightning thunder
On dark and gathering storms
To scorch the earth for many generations
A new winter, worse than any
Called the holy war

A white horse on the clouds of death
A red war horse to end all wars
A pale horse in pastilets led by
A black horse with fam at his gails

The doctern of hatred
Nation wil rise against nation
Wash me in blood and let me be
The first born of the dead
A crown rider with arrows and bow
A rare rider with a great firey sword
Lakes come from the one called death
Horror And Apocalypse Follows
Moons two full horsemen ride again
Their fathers kingdom, spun to kingdom come
I hold fast to what I believe
'Till I see my namestone
Blessed are the dead

(Instrumental)

A white horse on the bowels of death
A red war horse to end all wars
A pale horse in pastilets led by
A black horse with fam at his gails

The synagogue of satan
Nation wil rise against nation
Wash me in blood and let me be
The first born of the dead
A crown rider with arrows and bow
A rare rider with a great firey sword
Lakes come from the one called death
Horror And Apocalypse Follows
Moons two full horsemen ride again
Their fathers kingdom, spun to kingdom come
I hold fast to what I believe
'Till I see my namestone
Blessed are the dead

(Instrumental)

Hands down the best song on the cd and its about the book of revilations (which incidently was written by someone who was alone on a island that was known for two things being far away from evrything and that magic mushroms-shrooms-grew there,(just an interesting fact))

So many lyric mistakes, like... "A great sign appeared", another part should be "Worse than any cold or holy war", "By a black horse with Famine and Scales", "Plague from the one colored Death", and it's missing the "Ride won't you four horsemen ride again before this kingdom's blown to kingdom come, Ride, I hold fast to what I believe till I see my name in stone, Blessed are the dead that they may rest (Blessing the dead- second time).

God this song is awesome, i love UA! And yeah, the song is about the Four Horsemen and the Apocalypse, although, there is one interesting thing i'd like to point out. Dave screwed up the order of the horsemen, see, death rides the pale horse, and famine rides the white horse, but in the song, dave has death and famine backwards, with famine riding the pale horse, and death riding the white horse. Maybe he purposely meant for that? Oh well, still a good song 'Deth forever! \m/ 0 \m/

Oops sorry, mistype, i meant he has death, famine, and pestilence wrong, war is on the right horse though.

basiclly this song is about the lasts days on earth (revelations)

there were one mistake i could spot. It's that Mustaine describes the white rider(or crown rider, because this is supposed to be a leader) as carrying bows and arrows. In the book of Revelations, the white rider carries only a bow but no arrow symbolizing a non-violent rise to power

well hes got to take some liberty to make the song work....

anyways....somehow ive always missed this awesome song. (about the apocalypse, of course)
