This Is For Real

Definitely about coming clean from a drug addiction and having a person that's been there every time it was stated before that he was gonna come clean, but he's never fully committed to it before. But this time he's FOR REAL about it and is telling that person so.

I mostly get the drug part from the whole "For a physical challenge I'm notoriously bored Intravenous delivery, Electrolytes and more Every time it's the same routine Out with the bad, In with the clean Before I lose all motor skills There's one thing you should know"

Seeing as intravenous means through a vein or within a vein or whatever, I just picture someone shooting drugs.

From the live version of the song, where that whole part wasn't so clear, what I got from the song was that he's REALLY in love with a girl. Which, I can still see that in the song, just related with drugs also.

I got these lyrics from the 45 second clip in the latest webisode, and various live shows they played it at.

When they play the full song (I'm assuming that will be this week's webisode) I'll update the lyrics.

..But for the actual MEANING of the song... It's pretty obviously about Justin's drug addictions (again..lol). And having someone who's actually there for him, who wants him to get through it, who's there for him for everything. She SAVES him, and he's so thankful to have her in his life. He's saying that he can and will get through his problems with her by his side. Because SHE'S real, and the way his life is with drugs ISN'T. (That's my take on the whole "this is for real thing". Well, that and he's being honest this time. He's actually giving up his addictions. At least in the song) I think it's much easier to get the meaning once you have the last verse. (Or at least most of it. lol my bad)

In the beginning it isn't "I've got emotion". Its actually "I've got a motion" Although this sounds exactly the same if you read two lines down it goes "I thought i would let you know." which makes the first line sensible.
