In time bleeding wounds will heal
Unlike some which are too deep to see
Like scars in the Nomads soul
Their mending is so slow
Not a shout of a hundred enemies
Can make him feel fear inside him
But when sunsets and the cold arrives
With crushing solitude in the darkness of night
He will ride across land and time
To find a way through this endless night
Theres a storm in his heart
And the fire burns his soul
But the wanderers part is to ride alone
With bare hands he has taken many lives
He has had a hundred women by his side
From enchanted woods to the freezing North
He is known at every sea and far beyond
As the moon grows and the circle is complete
He lies down and waits for sleep
But there's always a scenery in his mind.
Of all that beauty he once left behind
Unlike some which are too deep to see
Like scars in the Nomads soul
Their mending is so slow
Not a shout of a hundred enemies
Can make him feel fear inside him
But when sunsets and the cold arrives
With crushing solitude in the darkness of night
To find a way through this endless night
Theres a storm in his heart
And the fire burns his soul
But the wanderers part is to ride alone
He has had a hundred women by his side
From enchanted woods to the freezing North
He is known at every sea and far beyond
As the moon grows and the circle is complete
He lies down and waits for sleep
But there's always a scenery in his mind.
Of all that beauty he once left behind

Maybe this song is about Jari?
"In time bleeding wounds will heal Unlike some which are too deep to see Like scars in the Nomads soul Their mending is so slow" Maybe the guys from Ensiferum felt hurt when he left the band.
"Not a shout of a hundred enemies Can make him feel fear inside him" This part could be about live shows, and how the fans were like shouting enemies, but Jari was never afraid to go on stage and perform.
"But the Wanderers part is to ride alone" Jari left the band to start wintersun, which was originally a solo band.
"But there's always a scenery in his mind. Of all that beauty he once left behind" This might be about how Ensiferum will always be a huge part of Jari.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm going with this.
Soundtrack of me
Interestingly Odin, the Norse chief deity, was called (among other things) The Wanderer. However, I don't think this song has anything to do with that. Just an interesting fact...
I'm actually thinking this may be about Odin, despite the fact that you fell it isn't. This is a folk metal band, and therefore it could very well be. "With bare hands he has taken many lives, he has had a hundred women by his side." hint hint
Actually, I see a lot in this song which could apply to Lemminkäinen (one of the major character in the Kalevala). In fact, there are very few mythological figures I know of who the lines "With bare hands he has taken many lives, he has had a hundred women by his side." could really apply to, and that is exactally literal for Lemminkäinen.
Lemminkäinen was quite a womanizer and something of a villain. He was exiled from his home for killing to many people and he ended up living in a village on an isolated island where every woman fell madly in love with him. For more on the subject, read the lyrics to Amorphis' "Into Hiding" (you're probably familiar with the song, Ensiferum covered it).
I don't know for sure, but I think this song is about a man who has wandered over the earth and has done many things, but when he tries to sleep at night he can't beaucuse he wants to go back to the many beautiful places he has been. "He had a hundred women by his side" is probably about all the love affairs he had on his journey. The final sentence: "But there's always, a scenery in his mind. Of all the beauty he once left behind" tells that he misses all those places and all those women. DOn't know if I'm right, just a thought.
