Well, lets look at the meaning here... (another great acoustic arrangment might I add!) The song wasn't written by a teenage boy who fell in love for the first time....it's written by a middle aged man in regards to a current relationship. There were relationships in my high school/college days where everything was there, but it just didn't work out. As I can relate in my late 20's, have had quite a few relationships where it wasn't there, I didn't feel it. And then...all of a sudden, one (a relationship) comes along where it's there. It catches you off-guard, you don't expect it because you're not looking for it. Everything is there, and as the female states in this song...it's like the 'first time'. The butterflys, nerves, the stomach aches, etc. That's what this song is about, it's about having had, loosing it and then coming across it again down the road. And all the while, not looking for it, but, just finding it as you live.

It is because their love to each other sweeter than their previous relationship. It is very coz they\'re hopeless to have a good relationship in their life but it came unexpectedly.

:)This is a great song. I think everyone can relate to that terfified feeling of being vulnerable and letting someone see all of ones weak spots that they hide. And yet seeing something new come into their life. "The world that I see inside you,waiting to come to life"... Is it really real?
At first, I thought this was a typical song referencing love--til I listened to it a few more times. I think it's actually about some sort of a salvation experience. He says it's, "Like being in love with you for the first time." If he were only talking about being in love he wouldn't say it was "LIKE being in love". Alot of Lifehouse songs have underlying spiritual meanings, kind of like a double entender.
Finally the boys are back. its been a while but good things come to those who wait. now about this song. they have told what it is about n ive got to say. its a grower.. it can't be as bad as the last album. i hope the album is amazin..

well in a way, i agree with poolka..it does have an underlying meaning. but i also feel it's about love. maybe it's about his love for Christ..not for a girl. or maybe it's about both..who really knows.
