Sailing Away Lyrics
when you've stopped crying?
What ever you're going through
it's not worth dying.
I know you're trying.
And nobody wants to lose,
I don't know why.
live by the river and
I'll die by the river
I'm sailing, away, today.
when they stop laughing?
You're giving it all away
when you've got nothing.
you feel like walking?
Taking a holiday from
all the shy-y-y...
live by the river and
I'll die by the river
I'm sailing, away, today.
live by the river and
I'll die by the river
I'm sailing, away, today.
the bull by the horns my friend
it's the only way to go.
we can go home.
when you've stopped crying?
What ever you're going through
it's not worth dying.
you know I'm trying.
What've we got to lose,
and testify-y-y...
live by the river and
I'll die by the river
I'm sailing, away,
I'm sailing, away,
I'm sailing, away, today.
Great song, should be more than just a bonus track.
this is a perfect little song. i totally agree with ellichisott. it's rather annoying i have to fast forward every time i want to listen to it.
love. i think this song's about getting bored and sick of how things are, about normality and taking risks, going against the norm and going out of the way to do something that'll make you feel better and feel some sort of freedom by 'sailing away'.
a beautiful song. i can't believe the boys only made it a bonus track on 'The Boy with No Name'. the album wasn't fantastic in my opinion, mainly due to some poor songs toward the end.
anyway, this song reminds me of my favourite place on earth...
my uncle lives, or lived, should i say, in this little place that he built for himself, like a chalet, down a dirt track, in the middle of a load of fields, and right next to the river trent. i won't go into detail, but it looks like sometime in the coming months i am gonna move in their myself, as i'm heading to uni and my campus is 5 minutes from the place. it's complicated, and very frustrating, because i can't move their now and begin fixing the place up (it's been broken into once or twice, and needs lots of work doing, but nothing that i won't overcome, no matter how long it takes me).
anyway, long story short, i have dreams of being sat on my porch looking out to the river, with the lines "cause i live by the river, live by the river and i'll die by the river" in my head.
one day...
excellent.
