Well I think its not about a Suicide girlfriend or something related to death. I think the meaning of this song is about a relationship that went wrong and they argue and fight and that is the meaning of One night can change everything in your life...
a little repetitive alright though, it's a nice song for when your confused i feel, not their best but not a bad song.
this one reminds me both of of 'Love will come through' and 'How many hearts'. In a good way, of course ;) At first I thought it's a pretty sad song. But then again, 'One night can make everything alright' gives it an optimistic spin.
I find it ambiguous.. it says "one night can make everything alright", but also "but the damage is done, a new day's begun".
It's like it's saying that one night can destroy something, but one night can also heal if you have the courage to work things out.
I think the music speaks stronger than the lyrics in this song. I feel like hes saying that the end is just an apportunity for a new beginning. I quite agree with btherl on this one.
