Angel Fire Lyrics

Another lonely night in December
(Jaweh, Jaweh, Jaweh)
It is the time of year people remember
(Jaweh, Jaweh)
I can't find a word to say to you
I can't comprehend, I can't relate to you

Plain to see no flies on me
Take my higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know

Plain to see no flies on me
Take my higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know

I'm knowing this could be our last event
(Jaweh, Jaweh, Jaweh)
I'm knowing I am your youngest descent
I don't want to know your pain
I don't want to play the game

Plain to see no flies on me
Take my higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know

Plain to see no flies on me
Take my higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know

I can't find a word to say to you
I can't comprehend, I can't relate to you

Plain to see you faithfully
Take me higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know
Can't you see you're made for me?

Take my higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know
Can't you see you're made for me?

Take my higher, angel fire
Take me where I want to go
Teach me things I need to know
Who knows

Corrections:

It's "Shove in" NOT "Jaweh".

It's "And knowing" NOT "I'm knowing"

Also, on the flies line, the lyrics booklet says that she is saying "Plain to see, no flies on him", but I definitely agree and think it sounds more like "on me".

This song is about getting together with family in December, probably near Christmas. She is with one of her parents, but has nothing to say. From the lyrics booklet, it says "plain to see, no flies on him" which to me signifies this is about her father. That line to me signifies that it is plain to see that he isn't dead or dying, but that all he talks about is his aches and pains. It seems she feels it is just a game he plays to get sympathy. Either that or, since this could be the last event they have together, that he really is in pain and dying, but that is all he talks about. Instead of enjoying their time together, they are miserable.

If this is at Christmas time, it almost seems like she is looking at the tree with an angel on the top and imagining that the angel takes her away from the situation.

Well "Jaweh" or "Yaweh" may very well be the lyrics to the song not "shove" because Yaweh/Jaweh is the Jewish name for God which would fit well with the Christmas thing.

what I don't understand is who is "angel fire" is it Yaweh?

or is it satan?

She is saying she believes in Jaweh (God) but probably not in man's religion... "Plain to see no flies on me" means she is clever and no one can "pull the wool over her eyes". December is the time most people take the time to remember Jaweh. She is at a loss for words... because after all it's God... she can't relate ... she is not on his level.. but she is willing to learn and be taken higher if he has that to offer. She does not want to know the pain of Jesus/God nor does she want to play the games religion throws at you. She simply wants the beauty and knowledge of God.
