You Might Have Noticed Lyrics
If you're under the impression I'm all right
I guess you never noticed
I guess you might have known
I've been holding this together for so long
But I guess you might have noticed
Well, I guess you...
The beast within the burden is all mine
A product of his father
A slave to his bride
I feel I need to reveal my true stripes
But the bitch behind all this trouble
Waits behind the wind to find out
You set me up to leave me
You only wanted to feel
Shallow love, shallow lives
With every word, you speak
Of what you wanted from me
Wanted from me, yeah
I'm sinking more and more into my lies
Now home is just a pinprick
In the vastness of my life
I feel the pressure, feel the pleasure
Feel the pain, you're not alone
I feel the pleasure, feel the pain
Feel the pain
You set me up to leave me
You only wanted to feel
Shallow love, shallow lives
With every word, you speak
Of what you wanted from me
Wanted from me, yeah
Realizations, I am not
What you thought I was
You change directions
Every time someone judges us
In moderation, what was once us
Now never was
You change directions
Every time someone judges us
You set me up to leave me
You only wanted to feel
Shallow love, shallow lives
With every word, you speak
Of what you wanted from me
You wanted from me, yeah
Set me up to leave me
You set me up to leave me, yeah
Realizations, I am not
What you thought I was
In moderation, what was once us

I really, really hope you're not done typing this. You got like, half the song.
Hehehe, my bad, i was typing it, and my computer shut me off and then i had to go. thanks to whoever wrote the rest. anyways, i love this song :].
Love this song.
Def. one of the best songs on the album.
Agreed, one of the best off Santi. Not a clue what it's about though.
I think its about a guy who wanted it to last, but she was just using him and
"You set me up to leave me You wanted to feel Shallow love, shallow lives With every word, you speak Of what you wanted from me Wanted from me, yeah"
This part of the song explains what she's done to him, and the reason I think its a she is when he states
The beast within the burden is all mine A product of his father A slave to his bride I feel I need to reveal my true stripes But the bitch behind all this trouble it Waits behind the wind to find out
He says bitch, but im lost on the
A product of his father A slave to his bride
Anyone know what that part means?
"you set me up to leave me" ...amazing.
this song sounds like some of the music off of 'the all american rejects' move along. but whatever, i love tai. santi rxckks.
one of my favorites off the album. it's definitely deep and reality-hitting, so i like that =]
JDea got those parts just like how I was thinking.
"I'm sinking more and more into my lies Now home is just a pinprick in the vastness of my life Feel the pressure, feel the pleasure Feel the pain, you're not alone Feel the pleasure, feel the pain Feel the pain"
He just keeps lying to himself about how it'll change and work out fine in the end. that the worst of the relationship was just an accident. that the pain and pressure is just getting harder and harder. but he knows he's not alone.
"A product of his father A slave to his bride"
I think that part is talking about the guy's roles. He's a figure of his dad, but his "bride" (which is most liekly the girlfriend, or he's already married) he's just 'there' and is being used.
just one teeny correction....
it's "a slave to his PRIDE" not "bride" which makes more sense with the line about his father and his own issues. "his" being the generic narrator.
Ahh thats why it was so confusing, pride makes a lot more sense
