I shouldn't have called so late last night
all insecure, out of my mind
I shouldn't have left that message on your phone
I shouldn't have said the things I said
Looking for love we left for dead
In a grave without a stone,
As soon as you hear my voice
Don't hesitate put your finger on the button
Erase, my love
I bet you can't erase my touch
You're trying to replace
A figure without a name
with somebody else's face
In your head
Every thing's cool
The rent is paid
The house is clean
Your bed is made
But it's a ghost town in your mind
Never had time to go to sleep
We'd wake up tangled in the sheets
On a bed that we called home
When the pain won't go away
You might as well put your finger on the trigger
Erase my love
I bet you can't Erase my touch
You're trying to replace
A figure without a name
With somebody else's face in your head
Erase ...
Erase my love
I bet you can't erase my touch
You're trying to replace
A figure without a name
With somebody else's face
In your head
Erase...
You're trying to replace
A figure without a name
With somebody else's face
In your head
Erase...
oh oh
all insecure, out of my mind
I shouldn't have left that message on your phone

In a grave without a stone,
As soon as you hear my voice

Its about breaking up with your partner and no matter how hard you try to forget that person, you will always remember and you try to replace them by a nameless figure, but it cant help you until you get over it, its a good song Go MIKA
I can't believe there is only one comment! I love the emotion and the power in this song, it's one of their best.
I love the death imagery in this song: "Looking for love we left for dead/In a grave without a stone, " ; "But it's a ghost town in your mind" ; "You might as well put your finger on the trigger".
This song is definitely about a break up, though some of the parts in it seem confusing. When he talks about being tangled in the bed, he refers back to the relationship before it ended, it seemed random and didn't make sense to me.
Correction: "You're trying to replace a feeling without a name"
Great song!
does anyone know where i can find this song? it sounds so beautiful
I really understand this feeling..I just got broke up twice in a short time, and the funny thing is that I spent a month and half to forget abt the one who I was seeing for 1.5 year, but still can't get over someone who I was only with for 2 months after 2 moths passed. This song expresses the emotion very well, and I can certainly feel that, it's hard to get over someone even tho you try not to see or hear his or her news, try not to think of what u guyz have been through together, but you can never lie to yourself that the memory was there and is here...
Love tis song. Its like saying...go on try and forget me but i bet you cant, not really. Even by living everyday life, getting everything done that needs doing, your still thinkin about them and it doesnt fit. Erasing phone messages donesnt stop the feeling being there and neither does finding someone else.
Wow, this song really does not sound like Mika's usual style at all. Great song though
Love this song, but every time Mika sings the line "In your head," I think it sounds like the song "Zombie" by The Cranberries.
