I think this song is about their brother/bassist Joe.

This song, and many other chevelle songs, is about brother Joe leaving the band. "i paid you, squeaky wheel", "you hated work, but loved the scene" "last burned..well grab a pen for the fourth and unknown" means help us write the 4th album here you lazy bum.

I agree as well. I also think this is the most aggressive song on Vena Sera, at least lyrically. This is the only song on the album that he swears and when he does it, he has alot of feeling behind it. The whole song is rather intense too.

Just my thoughts.

Chevelle cussing.. They are not christians.. they are from hell!! Joking about all of that.......... This seems to be the most passionate song on the album.. i agree with the above posts about the meaning.. love it..
