Song title: Wait In The Wings
Written: Sometime 2003
Album Released: "Acoustic Sessions" (September 2005)
About:
This is one of my favorite songs I've written. I didn't have a home for it until I recorded "Acoustic Sessions" but I'm glad it's finally out there. I didn't even play it live until about a year after I wrote it either, it's a rarity in a lot of ways, but still close to my heart. I had written a lot of songs about a certain girl and this was my way of saying goodbye. One last song for her.

Wait In The Wings
Written by Brad Skistimas
Hush
Don’t say another word
You’ve told me what I need to know
A rush to you
Your voice it went unheard
As I fold you and hold back truth
Love doesn’t lie
Not to me
After all this time I still believe
You point
And Laugh
And I turn
‘Cause lately that’s all that I’ve earned
Am I close to you?
Shouldn’t I be over you?
I stayed in the same spot
But I still feel so lost
Is this happening?
Should I be happily ever after?
You come and you go
But you stay very low
Is there a time in my mind when you’ll leave me alone?
Cause they’ve said to me once I don’t need you
And you told me yourself that it’s gone
And if that’s what it is I’ll believe you
I’ll just wait in the wings ‘til you’re wrong
Stay
How you lose me
Stay
How you choose me
Stay
How you lose me
You wanna see it
But you don’t believe that the same things got you staying
You come and you go
But you stay very low
Is there a time in my mind when you’ll leave me alone?
Cause they’ve said to me once I don’t need you
And you told me yourself that it’s gone
And if that’s what it is I’ll believe you
I’ll just wait in the wings ‘til you’re wrong

Just A Little Lovin'

Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
