LAX to O'Hare Lyrics

It was a plane ride
From LAX to O'Hare
And what happened next
Was a series of unfortunate events
Please stay tuned
For what happened next

The life I breathe for you
Gives to me new wounds
To patch and dress as I reflect
On what else I could give you

Maybe I should blindly throw my faith
Into the next thing that comes my way
Standing at the back door
With the life that she left behind
Are we all the same behind the frame
Beneath the glass and fake last names?
I've been waiting far too long
To feel the sun on my back

It was a big bang
And a bright white light from nowhere
It turned my coach class window
To a first-class seat
On the evening news on NBC

The life I gave for you is yours, so keep it
You oughta keep it
If I had one last chance
To take it all back
You know I'd take, take, take you

Maybe I should blindly throw my faith
Into the next thing that comes my way
Standing at the back door
With the life that she left behind
Are we all the same behind the frame
Between the glass and fake last names?
I've been waiting far too long
To feel the sun on my back

"Apologies are all we'll ever be," she said
Standing on the stairs
Looking back, looking hard at me
"Well, life is long for those who have to wait," I said
It's the choice I had to make
The choice I had to make
The choice I had to

It was a plane ride
(Plane ride)
It was a plain ride
(Plain ride)
It was a plane ride
(Plane ride)
Well, just a plain...

Well, maybe I should blindly throw my faith
Into the next thing that comes my way
Standing at the back door
With the life that I left behind
If we know the way we're gonna die
Through everything else we will survive
I've been waiting far too long
To feel the sun on my back, yeah

But one day, I will stay

I like this song a lot. It's not as great as the songs on Almost Here but still pretty awesome.

There are a few errors here and there in the lyrics. Here's the corrected version:

It was a plane ride from LAX to O'Hare And what happened next was a series of unfortunate events (Please stay tuned for what happened next...) The life I breathe for you gives to me new wounds To patch and dress as I reflect on what else I could give you

Maybe I should blindly throw my faith Into the next thing that comes my way Standing at the back door with the life that she left behind Are we all the same behind the frame Beneath the glass and fake last names? I've been waiting far too long to feel the sun on my back

Good work with the lyrics, some are a little hard to get.

I love this song, was waiting for it to be approved.

Nice job TAI, you guys have matured.

I don't know, the vocals are really quite different than Almost Here. Which yes, definately shows maturity, but just for me personally, but I fell in love with the voice on AH.

I'll get used to this once I get my hands on the album, though. =)

The song though, I'm not sure, something about the unexpected things in life. And not always planning out every move you make, and just being spontaneous.

I, too, fell in love with the voice on AH; nevertheless, I still love this song. And I'm pretty sure the second time it says, "between the glass and fake last names" not "beneath..."

If it really says "it was a plane ride, it was a plain ride," I really like that double meaning thing there.

I too like Almost Here better so far than "LAX" and "We've got a big mess." I really like the lyrics for this sing though.

I had a random thought just then, when listening to this song.

Are we certain that it's "faith"? Because it also kind of sounds like "fame" to me, so I think it's about that. Reading through the lyrics, it makes sense to me...
