My Way Home Is Through You Lyrics
Gonna take off all my skin
Tear apart all of my insides
When they rifle in
Mom and Dad think you'll be saved
They never had the time
They gonna medicate your lives
You were always born a crime
We salute you in your grave
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in her arms
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in her ar-arms
Well my gun fires seven different shades of shit
So what's your favorite color, punk?
You wanna hold my hand
Could you sign this photograph
'cause I'm your biggest fan
Would you leave me lyin' here?
We're not here to pay a compliment
Oe singabout the government
Oxycontin genocide
Adolescent suicide
Give me my sincerity
(Don't give) a fuck about a Kennedy
Here's what I got to say:
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in her ar-arms
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in her er er er er
Whoa oh oh
Way e ay e oh
Whoa oh oh
Way e ay e oh
(we've got to go)
(we've got to go)
(we've got to go)
(we've got to go)
OWWWW
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in her arms
Can't find my way home
But it's through you and I know
What I'll do
Just to get back in her arms
Can't find the way
Can't find the way
Can't find the way yay yay yay yay

C'mon, Angel, don't you cry

hmm. This song is hard to get one meaning for as it seems to jump through a few different ones, but I think maybe I've got something.
I think it's about getting to the point where you've toured and interviewed and everything so much that you're not even really sure who you are anymore. "The way home" can either be literal or mean the way to get back to your true self.
It's also about the fans who look to the band to "save them" since their parents don't do anything besides throw prescriptions at their problems. Knowing someone looks up to you in that way has to be inspiring but also stressful - helping these fans brings them closer to feeling whole but they've still got fangirls who would leave them "lying here" the second something new comes along.
The "we're not here to pay a compliment" verse is a response to people wondering if they were going to get more political on this album - they're not; it's not their style. It's also saying don't look too deep into these lyrics - the song is about them (and us); not any sort of commentary on the world.
In the end, who is the "way home" actually through? I don't think it ends up being the fans - I think it was people who cared about them before all of this started and they just wanted to get back to that (especially if this song was written during their stay at the Paramour - "WE'VE GOT TO GO"). I think he is referring to a relationship with a girlfriend that got strained through distance. "what I'd do just to get back in your arms...c'mon angel, don't you cry"
I think that's everything except the "seven different shades of shit" part, which could just be how some people will react negatively to their music no matter what they do - they will see it all as crap without giving it a chance because it's "emo" and not hard/punk/rock/whatever enough (which is amusing considering that this is probably one of their punkiest songs).
I tried my best,

Definatly my 3rd favorite by MCR
is he making fun of us when he says: "Do you want to hold my hand? Could you sign this photograph? Cuz I'm your biggest fan. Would you leave me lying here?"
thats just what i get out of it great job, red hotel =]
haha! great.... finally they got real good stuff again... in my opinion ;) this is my chemical romance as i like them :)
Yah, I enjoy their heavier stuff.
Bury Me In Black, The Jetset Life, Mama This one... though I love all their songs.
I'm not sure what this song means but, I think its a bit personal to MCR, that bit about "Could you sign this autograph" makes it feel that way.
Seven different shades of shit, so whats your favorite color punk?! ^ No idea, im brain dead today, maybe it'll come to me :P
it means he is gonna shoot him and he is bassically asking him any last words and where do you wanna get shot.

something about "well my life..." is said before "the seven different shades of shit" line and i knw theres a word between "well my life is..." and "seven different shades of shit, so whats your favorite color punk?!" but i cant make it out. ill figure it out sooner or later.
@chemicalnirvana495 holy fuck this is a really late reply but in case you haven't figured it out yet, it's "well, my gun shoots" it's not "the seven different shades of shit". It's saying "Well, my gun shoots seven different shades of shit. So what's your favorite colour, punk?!"

i like how Mcr seems to end one note shy of finishing this song... like to give some closure to the song.. if noticed they do that on a lot of songs...
"------favorite color, punk"***
A red hotel.. do you really consider mama and the jetset life hard? oh well but i think the "my line serves 7 different shades of shit" line is coming from the mouth of whoever the speaker is singing to.. they are replyin tot the speaker sayin their way home is through them.. i'm not sure what that means but... it just seems like this wouldnt be something the speaker would say.. yet a reply...
shrugs
i get it now the guy has to shoot some other guy to get back home "my way home is through you"
