Kill All Your Friends

This song is my favorite off the B-sides. MCR is my favorite band IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, I love them so much, and they inspired me to become a writer since I always would come up with stories based around their songs. I wrote a short story about this song, and it was about a young man whose childhood friends abandoned him for other people, and turned against him. So later in his life when he was in college he gets in with a few of his old friends, and by this time he has new friends and such, who were also abandoned by their friends. So they come up with a plan, and slowly start killing off all of these people who've done them wrong in the past, and it ends with only this young man who kills ALL of his friends (even the ones who were also betrayed) and he gets chased down by the police until they corner him in a cemetery, where he has a gun in his hand and he shoots himself as they're about to arrest him. So basicly the story is about becoming obbessed over revenge and such, and going to far into that in stead of forgetting about the people who've done you wrong and go on with your own life.

This song has a personal meaning for me, "we all wanna party when the funeral ends" after my dad's funeral everyone went off to party instead of accept the death and comfort each other, "we all get together when we burry our friends" my family only started to come together after he died, some of these people I hadn't talked to in forever but they were all here now and me and my older siblings were never really close but now we are because of this. "It's been 8 bitter years since I been seeing your face" Its been 8 weeks since my dad passed but this line sounds like Gerard is missing someone and longing to be with them again but he can't cause they've passed, and I relate with that as well. "It's tragic with a capital T" everyone was freaking out and crying so much after my dad died cause it was all very sudden and he had never had health problems before but he was gone so fast everyone was saying how tragic is was and comforting us but after a while the comforting stopped and they went back to being rude like they used to be

it pretty much reminds me of "teenagers"!!!!.... i'm not really sure about the meaning of this song.

It definatly reminds me of teenagers, someone is trying to get over their past?

i only had to listen to this song once to basically get the jist of what its about... placin the name of the song with the lyrics the song is about someone who was in love with antother probably in highschool or somethin and they are able to see that person again for the first time in years when they are re-united at a mutual friends funeral.. when the funeral ends that person has to watch the other walk out there life again after the funeral... they figure that the only way for them to see this other again is after the death of another friend.. hints the name "kill all your friends"

p1 has a past where he/she had an accident and they had murdered someone, and they can't do anything about it and the past caught up to them and they started to target their friends

p1 and p2 are at the last funeral. they are the only ones there. p1 walks off and leaves p2 alone by themselves to "drown in the fear" of when p1 will strike them. but because of their relationship in the past p1 doesn't do anything and leaves.

Same with me, was gonna post lyrics but i think Red Hotel did a very good job! I don't get the deal really, but since it's called Kill All Your Friends, i believe he in the chorus means like Yeah kill them all so we can arrange this big party! Maybe it seems to him like that's the way this girl thinks.

But i dont have a good explanation of the song, i admit. Good one though, like all the others;) Does anyone know if this is supposed to be a part of the story about the Patient, too?
