This is the first I really listen to , I knew the promo was another.. anyway its really , really good...
They always chose their words to speak their minds, its awesome, not overwrought, completely honest and you can feel what they sung about (this case, a break up)
this is a really awesome song, i love it a lot. i can really relate to it, it seems like people often express the exact same sentiments towards me... it made me realize that sometimes hiding behind a mask of smiles and 'whatevers' isn't always incredibly happy for the people im talking to, and sometimes, what they really want is my opinion.
i dont think its about a break up, it could be anything like if you knew something about your friend and the friend knew it to but youre not willing to admit you know..

lyrics-wise This song reminds of from end to end a little and i guess that would support hohojoe333's theory.
I think it basically about being blunt. I think it could be about any situtaion weather a break up or not but it is about something being held from someone. And it is saying instead of beating around the bush just come out and tell me the truth.
It's about saying what you mean, not beating around the bush and just coming right up to someone with what you want to say, and not to cower away.
Personally, I think it's about debating/witnessing to other people (esp. on the web - "I better rest my EYES") I can really relate to this song, I know exactly what he means in the verses.
I'm going to have to say this is one of those amazing songs that will speak to almost any situation.
It's helping me make an enormous relationship decision right now. Relient K is AMAZING. They are one of my go-to bands for when I'm feeling down or I'm in a less than happy situation (the other being the Goo Goo Dolls).

I think this song means that someone wants this person that they thought cared for them is actually just not telling them how they actually feel and they thought everything was going fine but they didn't know the truth. I felt the same exact way. It happened to me. I loved someone very much and then they ended up telling me they actually just didn't want anything to do with me anymore. When I thought they were the love of my life. That's what I feel like this song is talking about. I love it!
