Murder On The Radio Lyrics

Dodging bullets, dodging glances
Nervous and you shake while he makes his advances
Sending tingles up your spine, there is no way to define
A regret that you cannot rewind
Feeling empty, feeling broken
There's a malice on his lips you can taste while your choking
He is sour, he is sharp, he is preying on your heart
Just relax while he tears you apart

Take the dreams you had, throw them all away

Whoa, singing you to sleep
While you dream
While we murder on the radio

Feed desire, feed the cancer
Swallowing the lust that will cripple the dancer
With his hands around your neck
You have lost all self-respect
You're a mirror to ashamed to reflect
Are you cautious, are you reckless
Guilty and exposed, but to stubborn to confess
He is careless, he is kind, he has one thing on his mind
He is determined to keep you confined

I think it's about how this girl is feeling when her bf, ex bf, or some guy that she cares a lot for. She feels like he's using her and that he is hurting her. It points out things about him such as "he is sour, he is sharp".

def one of my favorite mfh songs, i think it could be about a girl doing something she doesnt really wanna do, shes losing her self respect, and afterwards shes left feeling empty. the guy that she does whatever she is doing with doesnt really care for her, he is just "preying" on her for some action.

i could be totally wrong but thats how i take it

one of my favorites too. i think the girl did something with the guy and then after either wishes she hadn't done it or can't believe that she did do it and then she lost the respect she had for herself because she did it. she's having a hard time accepting what she did. especially because it seems like it didnt mean anything to the guy. the girl gave herself, or a part of her that was important and the guy blew her off..

this screams abusive relationship. both emotionally & physically. the guy is controlling, and pretty much an asshole and the girl feels trapped, weak, helpless, etc

i love this song a lot.

am i the only one who thinks that he says "he is sour he is sharp, he is playing on your harp?"

i dunno i'm probably wrong but thats just what i hear.

but anyway, i think its about a guy that is like so overbearing to a girl and is maybe abusive?

i dunno...basically what everyone else said is right.

i totally agree with abusive relationship. even though the story is really heavy and intense, the song is still relatively light and really enjoyable. love it!

Abusive relationships, definitely.

I actually think this song is about an escort/prostitute.

hah sadly enough if you think about it being a girl whos doing this just to get by in life and she has to sit back and just let it happen no matter if she despises the men who do this to her she has to stick with it.

now what the chorus means i am not sure.

i do agree with the abusive relationship part but when i kinda listened to the song over a few times thats what i got from the imagery.
