I love this song , even the first time I heard it, can't stop singing along.

What I really like about this band is they put up so much images on my mind with their song to which I can't explain what those mean. lol.
Ed himself has said it is a mostly nonsense song. The coherent parts are about a singer who believes his music is good but is not recognized in England or Japan.

I think the song is about a guy explaining that he's a good person, even if he's not understood everywhere he goes. He may not always be correct, but he is confident in himself and he has the passion to go after what he wants.
Eh, that's just my take.
I think this song is about some unspecified upper class Americans who think that they are a real big deal just because they have a view that America is the greatest country and everyone else is a step below. I think the person is also kind of in love with everything, having the "it's all good" attitude. This is supported by my theory that the part that says "My quality biology enhanced with high technology" is about male enhancement drugs. Another thing that supports my thought that the person has a skewed viewpoint of America in the big picture is when he says "my...inspired some Greek mythology" -- obviously impossible when Greek mythology existed long before America (and our protagonist) did. Also, there's an error in the posted lyrics; in the end, it should say, "my quality neurology is studied in theology"-- which is another thing evidincing the person's ego, because this basically is saying, "I have the mind of a god".
It's a song about a performer who thinks highly of himself, but probably isn't that good. The first verse is about him trying to convince people to hire him. (BTW, Billy Barty was a little person who was a character actor.) Second and third verses are about him traveling abroad, but not really being wanted in either place.
