Reject Yourself Lyrics
Their cries are blown away in the wind
How passive can we be before humanity is lost?
Turning our backs on those who need love.
We must not rest while healing is needed.
Tear down the veil that bars your heart from feeling this.
Dedicate yourself.
Give your souls to compassion.
With open arms embrace this heart.
With open eyes behold the truth.
Embrace this life.
So little time is left.
We must be relentless in our pursuit of those in torment.
Tear down the veil that bars your heart from feeling this.
Dedicate yourself.
Give your souls to compassion.
With open arms embrace this heart.
With open eyes behold the truth.
Embrace this life.
Can you reject yourself?
Can you feel their agony?
In a world that feeds on disregard.
Heal the broken hearted.

The Arms of Sorrow
i try to look at the christian influence in all of killswitchs songs, theres usually a message in there somewhere. i think this is mostly about putting your life aside for others, but the second to last paragraph seems like its saying give yourself to the truth-GOD. man that guys great. well, thats me anyway.
I think the song is about rejecting your "pain" and selfesness, and to gain an understanding that there are people in this world that have absolutly nothing and have suffered far more then you. You souldn't be wasting time on your sorrows and help those that have suffered greater tragedy then you could possibling imagine. it's such a great message, most of the world is so self invovled that we've turned our backs to those that reallly need help, reject your sorrows and materialism.
Yes... KsE certainly has many Christian messages in their songs. This one especially. This song is talking about the general message of god - be selfless and love your brothers and sisters (other people in the world) as you would love yourself.
@DesertEMT ever seen these guys live ... they are far from showing christian influences

in my opinion, i think its about people who suffer in the world and this person(s) is turning their backs against them because they r only thinking or feeling sorry for themselves.
"can you reject yourself, can u feel their agony?" i think shows that u shouldnt b selfish and you should "reject yourself" to help others who need help more.
:) just my opinion! x x
so...you mean that this song tells to us to not be selfish?

My absolute favorite song on this album. Great melody. I think the song is about being depressed and uncaring about the world, and how he rejects all things around and takes for granted his life is shit. Just my two cents though.
The music at the end is what gets me every time. I air guitar it all the time!
this is my favorite song on the cd... its about feeling the pain of the less fortunate and doing something it... its about how you need to reject yourself and all your material objects to understand that there are ppl in this world that dont have shit... i think this is an awsome messageee
yeah.. enough said by everyone else
If you want to look at it through a Christian view, you might say that the KSE book itemizes the Devil.
This man wants nothing more than to see his love one last time. He would do anything, including give his life. Think of the KSE book as a pact with the devil:
I let you see her once, and you die.
Just because someone has materially nothing doesn't mean they are suffering. KSE has a very spiritual tone to all their songs. This song is singing about the people who are lost in lies. The people who are without love the people who still have hate in their hearts. "Can you feel their agony" is not so much a question but is saying you should be able to feel their agony. Heal those in need.
