Wasted State Of Mind Lyrics
Talking 'bout things we've seen
Paris to Oslo seem like dreams
Looking back, was it real?
You know how things sometimes feel
You can run but get no further than
Three city blocks from where you began
Caught in a wasted state of mind
Here you come here you come,
Now you're gone
Where will it take me?
Why am I waiting?
Caught in a stasis, feel like I've wasted all this time
With people and places who've never related or desired
Paris to Oslo seem like dreams
Looking back, was it real?
You know how things sometimes feel
You can run but get no further than
Three city blocks from where you began
Caught in a wasted state of mind
Now you're gone
Where will it take me?
Why am I waiting?
With people and places who've never related or desired

this is my jam right now ... because right now im in this awkward situation and these lyrics just totally fit ... i have my own meaning for it ...and the instrumentals ... the accordion at the end .. sweet
this song kicks ass
love this song.
is it about drugs? being high? things 'seem like dreams' cos they were 'wasted'. then 'Where will it take me?' just seems to fit in as the next high they don't know what will happen.
i dont really think it's about drugs. i think it's just talking about that feeling where you're awake but not really that consious of anything that's going on. and how discouraging it is when you're stuck in that perpetual feeling of uselessness where you try to make headway but your lethargy keeps you still
This song sure sounds like bein high. I refers to smokin weed in another song. He talks about how memories feel so far away that they aren't even real. But, caught in a wasted state of mind seems pretty easy to understand

It will not be more real, if you post it three times!!!!! And I also think that it isn't about drugs! It is about a love that is gone and you cannot forget. About changes and memories. How it feels, if memories fade away, but you still stand still.
I agree with Soleil. That's exactly how I portray this song in my head.
