This song is emphasising the beauty of the moon as described through the personification of the moon within the huntress Diana.
diana is a name mentioned in a few Cradle songs. its mentioned in the V Empire version of the forest whispers my name, and in The rape and ruin of angels?? im not sure, buts definately mentioned in a few, and over a vast spread of albums, i wonder what the significance is?? and this is definately the best track from Thornography
no way dude, i gotta disagree with you. i think the best song on Thornography is Foetus of a New Day Kicking or Dirge Inferno....but that is just me

To me it means... I really want to sit on Dani Filth's dick.
Or at least praise him for writing such a great song about the goddess Diana, and indirectly about reverence for the beauty and power of nature.

Diana is the roman god of hunt and the moon. I dunno what the rest means yet, but I'll look into it.

The lyrics in this song are very reminiscent of Cradle's earlier works where pagan imagery is jewelled with strong female characteristics, as is befitting of the eternal Goddess herself. These lyrics have a very classical feel to them and it is only through their morbid cadence that the reader comes to understand the author's bewitched state of mind.
