Heart of Gold (Neil Young cover) Lyrics
I wanna live
I wanna give
I wanna live
I wanna give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed an ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind
It's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I've crossed an ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind
It's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
I said I am getting old
I said I am getting old
I said I am...
Keep me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
I wanna give
I wanna live
I wanna give
I've been a miner for a heart of gold
I never give
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
That keep me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
I've been to Redwood
I crossed an ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind
It's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
I've been to Redwood
I've crossed an ocean for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind
It's such a fine line
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old
I said I am getting old
I said I am getting old
I said I am...
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold
That keeps me searching for a heart of gold

I'm so fond of the original. This one's manic, but when you think about it, it really fits.
This is a cover of a Neil Young song.
This is about how people value paper i.e. money over real people and how they seek 'love' out of money rather than a person because that is all they have - they've known life no other way.
i know n.diamond wrote that song but i so don't buy his version, it's boring. she once said this song is a desperate cry for something and i believe her. this is a manic cry. love it:D
@indiaa I think you mean Neil Young, not Diamond.
