Never Let Go Lyrics
never let go
can you lay your life down so a stranger can live
can you take what you need, but take less than you give
could you close every day without the glory and fame
could you hold you head high when no one knows your name
that's how legends are made - at least that's what they say
we say goodbye - but never let go
we live we die - cuz you can't save every soul
gotta take every chance to
show that you're the kinda of man who
will never look back - never look down
and never let go
can you lose everything you ever had planned
can you sit down again and play another hand
could you risk everything for the chance of being alone
under pressure find the grace - or would you come undone
that's how legends are made - at least that's what they say
can you take what you need, but take less than you give
could you close every day without the glory and fame
could you hold you head high when no one knows your name
that's how legends are made - at least that's what they say
we live we die - cuz you can't save every soul
gotta take every chance to
show that you're the kinda of man who
will never look back - never look down
and never let go
can you sit down again and play another hand
could you risk everything for the chance of being alone
under pressure find the grace - or would you come undone
that's how legends are made - at least that's what they say

This song is absolutely amazing. It has such a good message. The whole song is just wonderful. The lyricss are soooo good. Listen to this song.
that others may live.
What album is the track on? I cant find it.
Dunno where its from, but its on the credits of The Guardian... it might have a soundtrack?
yes, there is an album for the movie. it's on there. i love this song so much, i don't remember hearing it in the movie though.
this song is just a small piece of the courage and dignity that those people show...
Guys, it's in the credits of The Guardian. After watching the 2 hours and 45 minutes of it, you can sit through the first 3 minutes of the credits and you'll hear this song automatically.
I love this song, the one line in the beginning is what the song's about: Can you lay your life down so a stranger can live? It's about courage and bravery and putting your life on the line to save another. I see this as a song for Harry Potter actually... (just from reading what he's had to do for the wizarding world and such. I'm not spoiling the ending of D.H just in case, but this song speaks what sacrifices he's had to make 'so a stranger can live'). And it's such a coast guard song too obviously, about how they risk their lives every day to save the innocent that get stuck or lost in the water...
great song!!
Well if you have seen The Guardian it is quite obvious that this song almost had to be written for the film, but more so for the coast guard. It plays at the ending credits of the movie.
However, I think that it should viewed not only as a song of gratitude towards the service that the Coast Guard goes largely unthanked for, but also as a heads up to the rest of the world...always strive to put others before yourself.
This is a great song, I love it. It was most likly written for The Guardian. I know I can somewhat realate to it being a 17 year old National Guardsmen. But it can realate to almost anyone who trys hard for a better mankind just by doing what they do.
