Friends And Alibis Lyrics
Oh, I hate to be the one to bear the bad news
Yes it is true, I've finally fell in love
I fell so hard that I'm killing myself
Yes I need out, out of this grave that I dug
And all the friends that I have gone through
And how much I deserve the pain
It's a shame
So hold your head, hold it up high
Here's to the friends that were alibis
Keep this close, by your side
When I come home we will have our night
Oh, they always told me I was gorgeous in a way
And that faithful day
I found who I was
So I fill this hole with my prescriptions
I just keep feeding my addictions
And all the friends that I have gone through
And how much I deserve the pain
It's a shame
So hold your head, hold it up high
Here's to the friends that were alibis
Keep this close, by your side
When I come home we will have our night
We will have our night
You were the ones that stood by my side
Woahh
And I was the one that fought all of your fights
Woah!
Hold your head, hold it up high
Woahh
Keep this close, by your side
Woahh
So, hold your head, hold it high
Here's to the friends that were alibis
Keep this close, by your side
When I come home we will have our night
Hold your head, hold it up high
Here's to the friends that were alibis
Keep this close, by your side
when I come home we will have our night
Hold your head, hold it up high
Here's to the friends that were alibis
Keep this close, by your side
when I come home we will have our night
We will have our night
Yes it is true, I've finally fell in love

And how much I deserve the pain
It's a shame
Here's to the friends that were alibis
Keep this close, by your side

We will have our night
Woahh

I have a feeling that this is a personal song for Ronnie, a little while after the cd, Ronnie was out of ETF, disclosed reasons, if I am right abotu this being a personal song I'd say (just guessing) he experienced a drug addiction and the line "heres to the friends that were alibis" is talking about how he used friends to not get caught.
like i said all this is is a guess but i think it makes a great song, if that's whats up
i think its on that faithful day i found who i was.. and i think the second part was right :]
this song is special to my friend nick cause it reminds him of his friend and he told me the story and everything and its just made me like this song more i dont really get how all of it fits her but i didnt know her
i think this song is basically about what it says in the lyrics... kinda like going through a hard time? idk i love it though :]
.. or fatefull... idk
ah i keep forgeting stuffff she died btw... his friend thats why its special to him
i think it's like, a guy getting to a relationship, and being so distracted by it, and eventually wanting out.
the drug thing works too though. when you're addicted to drugs, you could say in love with them.
i love this song.it makes me think of my friends. i knw that they will be there for me no matter what
WRONG: And that people died (?) RIGHT: and that faithful day
and i checked these in the lyric sheet.
x3
The right lyrics where the question marks are, are; "They always told me I was gorgeous in a way and that faithful day I found who I was so fill this hole with my prescriptions and just keep feeding my addictions"
Amazing song (:
haa im pretty posotive that the thing Ronnie was addicted to was Heroine, and thats part of the reason he feels so connected to and loves Nikki Sixx, because he had the same problems. and i think you guys are as right on as you can get with ought being or knowing Ronnie. The drugs took him over for a while, and when he got through with them (that certain one) the band and everyone were still there for him. it may have to do with a relationship too, but i dont know about that side of him XD
well i believe he is telling the story of how he fell in love with his addictions to drugs. he would use these drugs to cope with any pain he had and eventually they took over. and he knows he needs help. he is begining to regret the friends that he has lost due to his drug habbits. and seeks help through his friends. those that stcuk with him told him to keep his chin up, keep trying and you will beat your demons.
to me the song doesnt hint to weither or not he beat his habbits in the end, but i believe the mystery in the story makes for some deep powerfull lyrics.
