I'm not sure what it's about but It's just a beautiful song, I really like when Kyo slows down some and sings alittle bit slower I think his voice sounds amazing when he sings slower, and they really make the guitar parts sound just soft enough so that it keeps up with the rhythm of the song and doesn't over do it.
i think the song is about a couple met at the beach during the summer, but it was only a summer love "The end of summer, I met the sea. What is love if it just drifts away and it's gone?". so a year later he goes back to the beach to only find that he is still lonely and yearning for her. "The Tears from the sky hit me. Everyone looks so happy.You are not with me on my left side. The Breeze is in a blur from last year"... this is one of my favorite dir en grey songs... and kyo sounds so passionate as tho he was the guy... you feel his pain and you can hear his suffering... this song is soo emotional...
this feels like the antithesis of all those happy summer songs some japanese artists release--mostly the pop artists, who have a 'summer single' that's usually upbeat and cheerful, and then a winter ballad to counter it.
while the music of this song certainly feels upbeat, and if you don't know what he's saying it certainly feels that way, i actually really like this song. it's surprisingly tender for a diru track.

^ Actually, if you bother researching the song, Alraune, you will find that that is actually true. Kyo has said it in interviews, and stupid people have even thought that it was about Kisaki sleeping with his girlfriend, In fact, read the magazine Purple Sky, (it's even in english, so you wont have to THINK) the volume which has Kisaki on the cover (first volume I believe), he is interviewed by the magazine, and they ask if Kyo wrote Sajou no Uta about him, because he mentioned that he has slept with women who are already dating someone.
