Amourissima Lyrics

Even though we said that it was all well and done
Even though we said it was time to decide
Those are only words our hearts won't understand

Amourissima mon amour ici bas
Amourissima you used to call me comme ça

Drowning out the sound while all our thoughts come to crowd
Closing off the stream in hopes we both stay dry
But feeling makes I through within the rush of you

Amourissima mon amour ici bas
Amourissima you used to call me comme ça

On a beau se dire
Que tout et bien et fini
On a beau se dire a le folie sa suffit
On découvrir un jour
Quel on est pas guerre

Amourissima mon amour ici bas
Amourissima you used to call me comme ça
You called me comme ça

i believe amourissima means the most loved. you won't find it in any dictionary because it's not actually french, but in Latin it's -issim- that indicates the superlative degree, and amour is love in french so to me it would indicate the romance language's version of "most loved."

Such a beautiful song... you used to call me Amourissima, but now you don't even care. How heartbreaking. After hearing this song I wanted so badly to be called Amourissima, but with a happier ending!

Does anyone know what the word "Amourissima" means?

The suffix "-issima" or "-issimo" in Italian adds a larger feel to a word, i.e. "grande" would be large, where "grandissimo" would be even larger. So my guess would be that "Amourissima" means a whole lotta love.

Feist is just brilliant.
