Don't say it's over
'Cause that's the worst news I could hear
I swear that I will
Do my best to be here just the way you like it
Even though it's hard to hide
Push my feelings all aside
I will rearrange my plans and change for you

If I could go back
That's the first thing I would do
I swear that I would
Do my best to follow through
Come up with a master plan
A homerun hit, a winning stand
A guarantee and not a promise
That I'll never let your love slip from my hands

If it's the beaches
If it's the beaches' sands you want
Then you will have them
If it's the mountains' bending rivers
Then you will have them
If it's the wish to run away
Then I will grant it
Take whatever what you think of
While I go gas up the truck
Pack the old love letters up
We will read them when we forget why we left here

The last part is so full of heartbreaking optimism, raw desperation... The only thing that makes a tragedy worse is the overwhelming attempt to make it better.

In the voicemail, the woman is saying:

"Scott, where are you? Really. I need you, you know? I need you. And, um, I really cant wait to talk to you, so please call me, okay? Don't forget, okay? I love you. I miss you... so bad. Buh-bye."

"it's never been really that hard for us to get up and play a show like it's the last show we'll ever play because every song we brought to the stage is a true story in some sense that means something very important and special to us." from a youtube clip of the avett brothers.

for some reason this song just make me think so much more about this quote. who hasn't been left feeling stranded and wished that could do it all over again even though they know it could never really happen again. love is a bitch, and knowing you missed with your shot hurts like a mother.

I really cant believe no one commented on this song.. so beautiful. so hopeful... and unfortunately/tragically so unrealistically optimistic.

This is one of my all-time favorite songs. The first line and then the line "If it's the beaches, if it's the beaches that you want, then you will have them" are absolutely amazing. I can hardly think of words that do them justice.

    My Interpretation

He would do anything to keep this girl even though he knows that she'll leave in the end... This is as painfully real as it gets.

my favorite lines "Push my feelings all aside I will rearrange my plans and change for you"....they use it again in 'I would be Sad' but its incredible to know someone cares for you so much they completley put all of there wants and everything aside to make things work..

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
