To me this song is about following your heart, no matter what doubts you may have. I love this song.
Like most of the songs on this cd, its obvious this one was written for Nicole. He pictures their life together and how good its going to be.
He's telling his love,that yeah she might fear getting hurt, but to just trust him, because he's not gonna crush her heart because he knows that what he has doesn't come around on a daily basis,so he will cherish her
I can't belive more people haven't commented on this one, this is probly one of his most epic songs, maybe not lyrically speaking, but musically, it's COOL!
Its a story about their lives together. The first verse is the first time they have sex, and she is scared and he is telling her to trust him. The second verse is about them getting more serious as a couple, and the third verse is about them getting married/having kids. I LOVE the lyrics "Then the first one's born, then a brother comes along and he's got your smile". There is just something about the way he says them that just bleeds a father's devotion to his family!
